The López Vicente Family, originally from Vilamartin de Valdeorras, Ourense, has been for four generations transmitting the wine culture in the East of the Orense province. In 2002, together with Roberto Fernández García, they made a crucial decision: to elaborate quality wine. This is how the A Coroa Winery was born and founded, a tribute to its ancestors, to its effort and commitment. A Coroa, is still a family winery, although it has a modern and competent winemaking team. Six parcels selected among the best of the Valdeorras D.O, with an excellent south-southeast orientation. His oenologist, Ángel Sánchez Cuesta, trained at the School of Viticulture and Enology of Requena (Valencia), has developed his profession for more than 27 years in the Comarca of Valdeorras. A true connoisseur of the viticulture and varieties of Valdeorras, he is one of the pioneers in the elaboration of the Godello and Garnacha Tintorera grapes as monovarietals.
